Digital Reasoning Acquires Health Tech Provider Shareable

Digital Reasoning, a leader in cognitive computing technology, has acquired Nashville-based Shareable, a health care technology provider which offers a mobile clinical documentation platform. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, Shareable is a health care technology solution provider offering a mobile clinical documentation platform for structured and unstructured data capture and exchange. It offers a highly customizable and scalable iOS platform to interface with existing workflows so healthcare providers can focus on patients, not technology.

As part of the agreement, Shareable CEO Hal Andrews will now serve as president of Digital Reasoning’s health care business. Shareable’s intellectual property and expertise in the area of mobile clinical data capture will be fully integrated with Digital Reasoning’s product offering.

Tim Estes, CEO of Digital Reasoning, said in a statement:
Digital health is a strategic market for Digital Reasoning as we pursue our mission to use cognitive computing to create a better world,” and also added this: “There’s a tremendous demand for disruptive technology in health care to optimize care, improve research, and find waste and fraud. By acquiring Shareable, we are able to accelerate the development and delivery of new healthcare solutions. I am proud to welcome the Shareable team, and excited about Hal taking a leadership role at Digital Reasoning to thoughtfully apply our combined technology assets to solve valuable problems for our customers and partners.”

Founded in 2000 and based in Arlington, Virginia, Digital Reasoning is a leader in cognitive computing for the Enterprise. Digital Reasoning has experienced management team that includes former big executive names from Oracle, Computer Associates, MarkLogic, OpenText, LexisNexis and the CIA. Digital Reasoning currently employs 70 people and has offices in Washington D.C., New York, London and Nashville.

The company has pioneered work in detecting various behavioral patterns in electronic communications indicative of suspicious and unlawful activity. It has spent over a decade developing and enhancing its advanced analytics solutions, resulting in deployments at US Intelligence and DoD agencies.
